A major piece of Crossover Phoenix will be an evangelism crusade.
This is a result of NAMB’s major push on evangelism and the hiring of Vance Pitman, national mobilizer for evangelism.
Since 2012 NAMB had increase church plant funding to non-South state conventions by 93%.

The Monday evening plenary session has started. We’ll be bringing you highlights from the session.
Highlights of tonight’s session include a report from Dr. Frank Page and an address from Dr. Ronnie Floyd.
Eddie Kinchen, ExComm member and member of FBC Jackson (MS), is giving a word of encouragement from Scripture.
Dr. Page is now beginning his address after we worked though some of the formalities of roll call and the welcome.
“We need to be resolute in leaving behind a legacy of commitment to our Lord.” — D.r Frank Page
38%: Average percentage of state convention receipts forwarded to the SBC
26 state conventions increased SP giving, 12 made no changes, 2 decreased sending amounts.
CP Receipts reached 100.62% of projected budget in 14-15
CP gifts were up 1.39% year-over-year
At the end of Jan 2016, we are 1.6% ahead of last year’s giving (but you knew that already because we covered it on the podcast ;-))
LMCO gifts are ahead 11.5% over the previous year gifts. That is MASSIVE. Last year’s giving was $154M. If that held true, that would be an LMCO of more than $170M!!!
Read that previous post again, folks. THAT IS HUGE.
That’s all from Dr. Page. Encouraging numbers related to giving.
Hotel reservations for the SBC annual meeting in STL are up year-over-year. Not surprising, there, but good to confirm.

Dr. Ronnie Floyd just began his address to the ExComm.
Dr. Floyd preaching from the HCSB. (available at LifeWay.com)
Vindicate me, God, and defend my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from the deceitful and unjust man. For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I go about in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression? Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain, to Your dwelling place. Then I will come to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the lyre, God, my God. Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God.—Psalm 43:1-5
Really good sermon/address from Dr. Floyd tonight.
Dr. Floyd right now. Crushed it.
Dr. Floyd will likely put this talk (or at least the text) on his blog later on. I highly recommend checking it out.
“We need a new kind of leader to rise up in the SBC.”—Dr. Ronnie Floyd
Dr. Floyd is covering the schedule for the upcoming Annual Meeting. We’ll go over that this week on the podcast.
